THE PROJECT

The project CONTACTLESS REPLAY aims to develop innovative characterization tools for contactless cards and readers during their early stage of development (R&D) thanks to the reproduction of field signals on a test bench with extreme accuracy.

CONTACTLESS REPLAY delivers complete tools able to capture the signals from readers and cards on the field, intelligently store and manage all the collected signals, and emulate readers and cards with the stored signals in field conditions.

CONTACTLESS REPLAY has been designed to answer the current issues of the manufacturers of contactless readers or cards.
Manufacturers are currently only able to test their products at the end of the development (nearly final prototype phase), leading to significant time and money losses due to error effects lately detected. This project aims at revolutionizing the R&D methodology around contactless devices and thus boosting their global market uptake.
Overview of the system

The complete system is composed of a signal acquisition device able to capture all the features (waveforms, frequency, distortion...) from any signals from cards and readers in the field.

The features of the waveform are then stored in a database, and the collected signals are easily accessed and manipulated thanks to a Library Manager.

Finally, the Card Replay or Reader Replay systems are then used in the R&D laboratory to simulate the behaviors of cards or readers in the exact same conditions as on the field (reproducing coupling effects, interferences, etc.).
